Breezing through the group stage

First game against last year's semi-finalist Yokohama SC, and a bit more exciting then was really necessary. In the end, a goal from Hamza who strolled from St Andrews Road all the way to Connaught Drive. 1:0.
Next up Gaelix Lions. Remember that name? We lost 4:5 a few weeks ago in the Cup, after leading 4:1. Well, justice prevailed, and we walked away with a 4:1 win. Goal scorers: Florian (aka "the nutmeg"), Thomas, Hamza and Julian.
The last game against Singapore FC would decide who wins the group and who finishes runner-up. First blood SCC with a great shot from outside the box. But we fully deserved the equalizer, courtesy of a Hamza-penalty, after Thomas was brought down in the box. 2 wins and 1 draw were enough to win the group on goal difference.

Quarter final tomorrow 10.50 am against Casuals FC.
