A sad ending to a season that had started so well and in which we had hoped to win silverware. While our overall goal tally shows that we certainly knew where the opponents' goal was throughout this campaign, the final match unsparingly revealed our big weakness and the very resaon why our championship campaign failed: during the second half of the sesaon we were never able to compensate for the absence of our center defenders Heinz (cruciate ligament injury) and Meckes (spends most of his time with his German business now) as well as Cyrill (fractured shoulder bone) and our captain Julian (torn ligaments). While we scored once again three the Hibs put five behind us, with all goals having been the result of extremely sloppy defending. However, this report should take nothing away from the Hib's deserved victory and we look forward to meeting you again in the next season. In the meantime we have to get back to the drawing board to do what needs to be done to make the upcoming campaign more successful.
